Former Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Ogun State, Mr. Sina Kawonise, has indicated interest to contest the coming governorship election in the state.
Kawonise, who is described in many quarters as fantastic journalist, public affairs commentator, newspaper columnist and author, had played his role as a grassroots politician and philanthropist at various levels of endeavour in and outside Ogun State.
He will be contesting under the banner of Social Democratic Party (SDP).
The Ago-Iwoye-born former Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of Nigerian Compass Newspapers and Westerner Magazine, is currently the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the fast growing online newspaper, NewsScroll.
Simply hailed “SK is OK”, Kawonise has post-graduation experiences in both public service and private businesses spanning 28 years.
