The Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has joined other well wishers in celebrating the Governor of Bombe State, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, on his 58th birthday anniversary.

A statement by the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, sent to The DEFENDER, which conveyed the party’s message on the governor’s day, said the people of Gombe State voted wisely in voting him as their state leader.

Issa-Onilu said: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) celebrates the Governor of Gombe State, H.E. Alh. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya on the occasion of his 58th birthday.

“Truly, the good people of Gombe state voted wisely in electing Governor Yahaya to steer the affairs of the state. The impact of the administration since assumption on May 29 is evident. Governor Yahaya has brought to bear his experience in finance and economic development in managing the resources of the state and proactively addressing many of the challenges the administration met on ground.

“The party particularly notes the administration’s focus on human capital development, provision of amenities and welfare for residents.

“Notably, the administration has restored the normal supply of water into Gombe in the tune of 40 million litres per day; delivered fertiliser to all wards in the state to drive the ongoing agricultural revolution; tackling issues of basic education specifically the administration’s support to enroll the close to 700,000 out-of-school children in the state through the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA), a World Bank/Federal Government funded project; welfare and rehabilitation of displaced persons settled in Gombe state arising from the insurgency in the frontline states, among other notable strides.

“The Party thanks the Gombe governor for upholding the progressive ideology of APC and prays the Almighty Allah continues to grant him good health and wisdom to bring good governance and development to the state.”
