APC concludes NASS primaries in Ondo as Boroffice wins return ticket

In spite of the crisis rocking the automatic ticket granted the seating Senators across the country, a fresh primary election was conducted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday.

In the keenly contested election, the Senator representing Ondo North senatorial district, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice won the ticket as the candidate of the party for the 2019 general election.

The election which was monitored by the Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), in Ondo North senatorial district was described as the most freest of all elections to be conducted in the state.

Out of the 66,200 voters that were accredited for the exercise, Boroffice gathered 64,300 votes from the 72 wards in the senatorial district.

Boroffice was the sole contestant in the election.
