“…last week Tuesday, Bukola Saraki went straight to Minna to meet with former Military President Ibrahim Babangida. He can therefore not tell us that it was because of a library project that is not connected to Nigerian project that he came to see with Obasanjo, who is no doubt currently leading all the offensives against the government of Buhari as alleged.  Don’t worry however, things will come clear in short while,” a respondent reacted.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki met with former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo behind-closed doors at his Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, on Monday.

Details of the meeting which lasted for about two hours was not made known to curious pressmen on ground to know why exactly the embattled Senate President was in Abeokuta.

Bukola Saraki: A Senate President crowned with many crises on his head.

However, it was suspected that the meeting was not  unconnected with the matters relating to the nation, particularly, the on-going issues between the Executive and the country’s legislative arm.

It would be recalled the Senate President had last week, made similar crucial visit to the Minna country home of another former President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida in Niger State.

Sources close to Obasanjo/Saraki parley hinted that larger part of time was used in conducting round the Senate President inside the new Presidential Library.

“The meeting was not that time consuming, but, the tour of the Library. In fact only 10 percent of the tour could be done. For the meeting proper, only the duo met and it was brief.”

Saraki, who came out from the Library entrance section to the waiting hands of newsmen, further confirmed that the visit was to come over to see the Library.

He told journalists that, he was on a visit to the  Presidential Library because he missed the commissioning of the edifice last year.

On his assessment of the library, Saraki says “it’s a worthy project.”

Although Saraki kept journalists in the dark as to what he came to do with Obasanjo in Abeokuta, watchers of event said the Senate President was hiding more than he said.

“Do not forget that shortly after posting the meeting to plan reconvening of National Assembly last week Tuesday, Bukola Saraki went straight to Minna to meet with former Military President Ibrahim Babangida. He can therefore not tell us that it was because of a library project that is not connected to Nigerian project that he came to see with Obasanjo, who is no doubt currently leading all the offensives against the government of Buhari as alleged.  Don’t worry however, things will come clear in short while,” a respondent reacted.
