*Grip of Saraki dynasty finally collapsing in Kwara?

A Heavy protest took place in Ilorin, Kwar

The protest.

a state capital on Thursday as supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari took to the streets calling for the immediate resignation of Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The DEFENDER learned that the Director General of the Yaman Support group, Hon George O. Towoju, revealed that Saraki and his co-travellers have continued to embark on undeserving political negotiations, which have mortgaged the genuine interest of the masses for their personal and individual gains.

The protesters, said to be mainly supporters of a Kwara State Governorship aspirant, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi, asked Saraki to make his political party membership known to Nigerians and resign his appointment as the Senate President with immediate effect in order to allow for better legislative process in the interest of the masses.

From the look of things, the grip of the Saraki dynasty on Kwara may be at the final stage of its troubles as efforts are serious on day and night to ensure removal of Bukola Saraki’s influence in the politics of the state where the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and former Minister of Sports and Youth Development now APC spokesman, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi also come from.

Apart from the challenges within, insistence of the existing structures of Kwara State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) not to be able to work together with the Senate President is another spanner on the wheel of his political career.

However, our findings revealed that time will tell what becomes the end of the game as Saraki’s defection, which he will be forced to do as his membership of APC is not longer recognised, will lead to APC receiving new members even from the party he eyes.
