Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Dr Iyiola Omisore, has commiserated with a former governor of the state, Chief Bisi Akande on the death of his wife, Omowunmi.

Omisore, who in a statement he personally signed and copy of which was emailed to The DEFENDER Thursday night described the deceased as a loving and supportive wife to Akande, said her death would be painful loss not just to the former interim Chairman of All  Progressives Congress (APC) and his immediate family but to all those who knew her as that great pillar of support who cherished family values.

According to Omisore, Mama Akande was an affable woman and an exemplar of motherhood, whose door was always opened to all the associates of her husband.

Omisore, who represented Osun East in the Senate between 2003 and 2011, urged Chief Akande and his family to take heart, praying to God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Iyiola Omisore was deputy governor of Osun State during the administration of Chief Bisi Akande as governor between the start of Fourth Republic in 1999 and 2003.
