Generally, Ogun State Police under the leadership of CP Iliyasu has been commended by Nigerians in and around the state for its proactive and effective policing.

Also, The DEFENDER Newspaper (Online) under its President, AIG Mu’azu Idris Hadejjia (Rtd), in its bid to encourage the Ogun State Police as it is currently run to do more, has called on other Nigerians to stand up in appreciation of the command for its commitment to ridding the state that is country home of many eminent people including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, retired Judge of the World Court Prince Bola Ajibola (SAN) of crimes.

This is coming on the sideline of remembrance of how the command, spoken for by DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, under the leadership of CP Ahmed Iliyasu has been working round the clock to ensure that people sleep with their two eyes closed and property safe.  The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in-charge of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Alhaji AlHassan, also has been commended for his promptness at stemming crimes and persecution of innocent, less privileged people of the state.
