Ex-Ogun Deputy Governor, Gbenga Kaka, condoles DEFENDER’s Manager over death of her father

Former Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Senator Adegbenga Kaka, has sent his condolences to family of late Alhaji Imran Shittu Awosanya, father of Hajia Basirat Shittu-Adefaka, Manager Administration and entire management of The DEFENDER Newspaper over the unfortunate but inevitable death of the former official of Learnards Industries Limited.

In his condolence message, Senator Kaka, a regular reader of The DEFENDER, said: “Verily from Allah we came and to HIM alone is our inevitable returns.

“May Papa’s sins be forgiven and Allah grant him Aljanat-ul Firdaus,” he prayed.

The former Senator, who represented Ogun East Senatorial District (under which late Imran Shittu’s Iperu Remo town falls) at the 7th Nigerian Senate, prayed unto “Allah to comfort those left behind and grant all the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.”

Born in the Malawo Compound of Iperu, Remo Local Government Area of Ogun State, Alhaji Imran  Shittu, who lived his life and had his homes both in Ogun and Lagos states, died on Saturday 20 July 2019 at the age of 76.

He was buried same day in accordance with Islamic rites, which started after Zuhr at 2.00pm with a Janazah prayer at his 31 Oba Amusa Avenue, Ikotun, Lagos residence after which his remains were moved to the Muslim Cemetry Isasi, Ojo, inithe state, accompanied by his children, grand and great grand children, family members, friends and other sympathisers in a convoy of 10 cars.
