News magazine editor and public speaker, Mr. Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, has commented on Presidency’s reply to Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal’s statement against President Muhammadu Buhari, which bothers on the President’s fitness to recontest.

The editor said on the regular Journalists’ Hangout on TVC television in Lagos on Wednesday that the President’s spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu, should not have replied Tambuwal on his fitness.

“They should rather focus on the President ‘s performance because we all know that the president is far better now than when he went to London.

“What’s in age? Malaysia had brought back a former leader, Mahathir Mohamad who is far, far older than Buhari and within months he has been performing wonders because he just sits looking and trying to catch someone who will not carry out his instructions.”

He said that PMB is not known to playing into gallery as, according the senior journalist, he talks less but very rigid with his conviction.

“We should focus on the achievements so far e.g. look at the current good image we are enjoying now.  World leaders are inviting PMB, Trump has done that, ICC specifically invited him to come and lecture them. AU made him head of their Anti Corruption Team.

“N73b recovered from looters, N13. 8b recovered from tax evaders all through the whistleblower policy of PMB.

“See peace returning to Benue, Air Force chased the bandits away and people are returning to their villages. 21 herdsmen were recently killed and the dangerous Ghana is on the running. In Zamfara, Air Force is spraying the bandits like mosquitoes.

“See how far they have gone with the 2nd Niger Bridge which PDP could not do in 16 years!!!!

“See how we escaped FIFA ban without any noise.  See the progress made on the ease of doing business.

“I can go on and on and on. So why reply Atiku that said he can jug better than Buhari or Tambuwal that thinks he is a young man, but is Tambuwal stable? Is Tambuwal having experience of Buhari? In popularity today, nobody can face Buhari especially in the populous far North!!!!” He said.
