MURIC condoles Sultan, Governor Yari, others, mourns as Emir of Tsafe dies

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has sent its condolences to the Sultan of Sokoto, who is Chairman, Northern Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, and others on the demise of the Emir of Tsafe, Zamfara State, Alhaji Habibu Aliyu, who died on Wednesday after brief illness.

Emir Aliyu, who had since been buried according to Islamic rites, was 62 years old.

In a statement signed by its Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, “The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) commiserates with the Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, Governor AbdulAziz Yari of Zamfara State, Tsafe Emirate and the entire Muslim community in Nigeria.

“May Almighty Allah forgive the late Emir and repose his soul in Aljannah firdaus. May Allah also grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss,” it said.
