Amidst alleged attempt by opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to cause confusion with a view to discrediting the outcome of Saturday 23 February 2019 presidential election if it does not favour them, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, has called on supporters of All Progressives Congress (APC) not to worry.

Senator Ojudu said President Muhammadu Buhari was coasting home to victory as against the fake results being peddled around by the opposition.

In what he called NEWS ALERT 4 from the Situation Room of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, the presidential political adviser dismissed the conflicting results coming from the opposition figures and social media rumour mill purportedly reflecting status of Saturday, February, 23, 2019, presidential and national assembly results and assured supporters and members of APC that the party was comfortably coasting home to victory.

“APC members and voters nationwide should note that while ONLY INEC can release official results nationally, APC Electoral Situation Centre has been collating results from its Agents at LG Collation Centers that has been nearly concluded and can confidently assert that victory is certain and equally protected.

“Unarguably, the APC is on the winning track that would be difficult to upturn by the PDP, no matter the manipulating and rigging feats.

“As a law-abiding party, our limitations are clearly defined in our inability to announce the results or declare winners, as such, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will be announcing the results as they represent the wishes of the Nigerian people, starting from both chambers of the national assembly and the eventual declaration of the presidential results. Thank you,” Ojudu said.
