Former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s son, Olujonwo, met with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja and pledged to campaign for his re-election.

The younger Obasanjo, son of Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo, has already identified with the campaign team.

The 34 year-old visited to meet the President and pledge his support, contrary to the position of his father, who is vehemently against Buhari, it was gathered.

What has become puzzling in the latest development is the fact that Olusegun Obasanjo is one eminent Nigerian that appears not have the grip of his own family, a source told The DEFENDER while responding to the development.

He said, “Little wonder that a man who cannot even hold his home together is leading a coalition of some unscrupulous elements called ‘Third Force’ to unseat the performing President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari. If such effort succeeds, are we not returned to dark days of PDP during which do-or-die politics, corruption and official impunity became officially energized?” He asked.

He however lauded the courage of the son and his eldest sister, Iyabo, for holding fast against mischief, “even when it is staged by their own father”.
