No fewer than 2,200 pupils in Anambra State are currently benefitting from the Home Grown Feeding Programme of the Federal Government, the Programme Manager, Mrs. Ngozi Ekwenibe, has said.

The project is one of the social investment programmes of the Muhammadu Buhari administration in collaboration with states.

Speaking to newsmen while supervising the measurement of the pupils’ weight, height and size by health workers in Awka, Ekwenibe said government embarked on the assessment of the impact of the programme to ascertain the nutritional status of the pupils receiving free foods.

She advised parents on balanced diet, just as she solicited for more funds from the government to improve on the services.
