The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has promised to support the party’s national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on the reconciliation assignment given to him by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Odigie-Oyegun, in an acknowledgement letter which he signed and addressed to Tinubu on Friday, expressed confidence in his ability to justify the trust President Buhari reposed in him.

The letter, which was copied to President Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Bukola Saraki and House Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, was issued after Odigie-Oyegun met the President on Friday, The DEFENDER learned.

President Buhari earlier on Friday met with Oyegun at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, for about 30 minutes. He avoided State House correspondents.

It was gathered that Oyegun and Buhari discussed the allegations by Tinubu.

It was also gathered that Oyegun responded to the allegations contained in the letter written to him by Tinubu.
