The newly debuted ethnic nationality group, the Yoruba Renaissance Movement (YRM), has condemned the killing of Honourable Temitope Olatoye a.k.a. Sugar by unknown killers in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, during the 9 March 2019 governorship election.

In a statement posted on the Facebook group wall of the organization by its Chief Coordinator, Mr. Adedeji Tajudeen Bakare, YRM frowned at situation where election matter would be handled with hands stained of blood and therefore called on the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Adamu, to rise to the unfortunate incident by bringing the killers to book.

“We condemn the killing of Olatoye Temitope (Sugar) by unknown killers in Ibadan.

“The IGP must bring his killers to book,” Bakare said in the post it made in his capacity as leader of the group that has set out to take charge as proper voice for the Yoruba Race.

On the elected governors, “We advice elected governors to say not to vindictiveness.  No one builds a nation by pulling it down”.
